This was the first time I'd heard the term "altered state of consciousness," but there is the normal state of wakefulness and the altered state of consciousness that is brought out in emergency situations, known as "super-human strength," and this book explains how this super-human strength can be freely brought out through hypnosis.
excerpt
- Human consciousness is divided into two states: awake and altered.
- The deepest altered state of consciousness in the world is sleep
- The skill of a hypnotist is not in the skill of putting someone into a hypnotic state, but in the ability to lead the subject to a state of relaxation and readiness to be hypnotized. This is the skill of a hypnotist.
- The only power you can draw out through hypnosis is the power you possess
- The definition of an altered state of consciousness is not a state of intoxication or anything like that, but rather it begins at the moment when human consciousness feels a sense of presence in a place that is not physical space.
- Hypnosis is homeostasis
- When you watch a suspenseful movie and your hands get sweaty, or when you think about eating sour food and your mouth starts to water, these are the results of homeostasis at work in the information space.
- Homeostasis is activated in a world that feels more realistic
- The taste information that we get from "delicious" is a combination of information from smell, sight, and hearing.
- In the first place, food does not have to be delicious for animals. Even if it is bitter or unpalatable, if it is necessary for survival, they will consume it. That is the act of eating.
- Humans now use their five senses only as organs for advanced information processing, such as determining whether something is tasty or not, rather than for detecting danger.
- The altered state of consciousness is like the innocent mind of a child, and when suggestions are given to that state, the child will work with all his might to make them a reality. This is how the potential of the child is realized.
- There are conscious states that people can be aware of and unconscious states that they cannot be aware of. The conscious state is called the "conscious mind dominant state," and the unconscious state is called the "subconscious mind dominant state." I define the "hypnotic state" as being between the "conscious mind dominant state" and the "subconscious mind dominant state."
- All past memories are buried in an altered state of consciousness between the conscious and subconscious mind, so in order to access past memories you need to enter an altered state of consciousness.
- By peeling away preconceptions, you will eventually reveal your true, honest self. The awareness that comes from within you is your soul and conscience, and it is this that truly heals people.
- True pacing means that you and the other person are doing the same thing in a world that is not subconsciously elevated, and what is necessary for this is to "share" the same immersive space on an unconscious level.
- The limits of your abilities are only limited by your imagination.
